Today's post features a few more of my vintage tea cups. However, all of the following have a common thread: they are floral patterned trios on a white ground.
Very pretty, very feminine and lovely to look at yet useful as a bedside ring holder or sitting on a book.

If you wanted to display a few tea cups on your cookery books, buy trios where possible as they come with a cup, a saucer and a tea plate. There are special display racks for trios if you wanted to display one on a windowsill.

Don't let a hairline crack or a little chip put you off as you should look for pretty trios instead of perfect trios.

Trios are always a little more expensive than single cup and saucers. If you attend an antiques and collectables fair, your choice would be far greater than at a car boot sale.
Like before, set yourself a limit, say £10 per trio but if you see something fabulous, don't leave it behind for a few pounds more. The first picture - the pink trio with the pink roses - cost me £12 but I just had to have it! :)
Look for colours which inspire you. I have been fortunate to find many floral trios with the white background but you might like Art Deco style with black and orange triangles. Buy decorative items which reflect you and your loves.

I try not to be too fussy with condition, always preferring a hand-painted floral with a crack over a perfect navy blue and gold.
If my photos have inspired you to add a few 'full stops' onto your bookshelf, my heart is happy today.
There are many other ways to use tea cups so watch this space. I not only have them in between the books, I also use one as a ring holder by the kitchen sink and I have one as a sugar bowl if friends come over.
Have a lovely day and feel free to leave a comment.
Lella xx
