I love robins! It's official: I am obsessed with them and have been for years.

Where to put them was the real head-scratcher so I came up with the idea to display them in my kitchen using an old wind chime.

Upcycling at its best :)

I took a wind chime - which had seen better days - and I repurposed the four-way frame for my robins.

*Tip: Never throw a wind chime away. Keep an old biscuit tin just for wind chime bells, tops, twinkly crystal droplets and other odd bits which sometimes break off. You can reuse them in so many ways.

If you shop wisely, or have the patience to wait until after Christmas Day, decorations like these can be found at half price.

I reused the little metal heart spacers, setting them at either one or two drops to give the robins room to hang.

Aww.... Lovely robins now fluttering in my kitchen window.
I loved doing this project. I hope you like it too :)
