Flower Corsage

I bought this huge flower clip in a sale as it is technically a seasonal decoration. However, I love silk flowers and I never turn down an opportunity to wear them.

Today's blog-make shows you how easy it is to attach a silk flower to your jacket or cardigan.

Always choose flower which is a good size and has lots of petals.

This flower is approximately 6 inches across.

Keep a selection of kilt pins in your craft box.

The clip on the back can be popped off with a twist.

All you need to do is to find the centre stem which is acting like a securing plug and pierce it with the kilt pin. PLEASE, please be careful! I always work on a cork board which sits on the ironing board. I force the pin downwards as the cork is there if you slip.

Your finished flower brooch should be big, bold and add a fabulous splash of colour to an outfit: just what we need until springtime is upon us.

Have a lovely day.

  1. Lovely clip.. Silk flowers are mostly used in clips or decoration because they can be used for a long time. you can't use natural flowers for along time.
